The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Information Technology at its KU Edwards Campus location. The two programs are designed to address the Kansas City metropolitan IT workforce needs and provide state-of-the art introductory and advanced educational opportunities in IT disciplines such as information security, computer networking, IT project management, systems administration, Web technologies, system architecture, and database systems, and provide pathways to highly in demand and highly paid IT careers.

The EECS department now offers two new graduate certificate degree programs, one in information security and one in software engineering.
